With nearly 1,200 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (D-MA) includes anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, adult intensive care, and adult emergency services. It fulfills a fourfold mission through its services, which provide expertise in frequent interaction with all Geneva University Hospitals, thanks to a transversal platform, aiming to ensure the best possible patient care.
The Emergency Service is a transversal service tasked with welcoming patients 24/7 regardless of the nature of their health problem, ensuring rapid and effective care to direct patients to the most appropriate structure. The Emergency Service also provides urgent medical assistance at the cantonal level, coordinates and manages major events, while serving as a reference service for cantonal structures.
Job Description
Your expertise in emergency care allows you to manage patients in urgent or semi-urgent contexts with a wide variety of pathologies.
Your versatility and responsiveness make you a caregiver capable of handling medical and resuscitation emergencies, surgical and psychiatric emergencies.
Your experience in emergency care has given you confidence in rapid analysis and the ability to assess patients' conditions to gauge the real urgency of each situation.
Your dynamism and team spirit enable you to easily collaborate across multiple sectors within multidisciplinary teams.
Your passion for support allows you to supervise new nursing staff, students, and other health professionals.
Your professionalism and commitment contribute to the development of care quality and research in the health field.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent recognized title by the Swiss Red Cross, as well as Swiss certification in emergency care (EPD ES) or a DAS in emergency care.
You have worked for at least one year in an acute care sector.
You possess a proven sense of organization and priority management. You demonstrate versatility and adaptability with excellent interpersonal skills.
You are a motivated, attentive, and dynamic person, ready to invest yourself in an institution whose relational values you share, namely trust, respect, team spirit, recognition, equality, and inclusion.
You have excellent command of the French language both orally and in writing.
