Unit Secretary in Forensic Medicine
To complete its team, the Romandy Forensic Medicine Unit (URMF) of the Romandy University Center for Forensic Medicine (CURML) is looking for a unit secretary for an indefinite contract.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Located on the two hospital-university sites of Lausanne and Geneva, the Romandy University Center for Forensic Medicine (CURML) has a staff of about 240 employees whose activities take place within twelve specialized forensic science units, including the Romandy Forensic Medicine Unit (URMF) in Lausanne.
The URMF carries out, at the request of judicial authorities, medico-legal expertises that help solve criminal or civil investigations. It is the link between the medical field and the judicial world. It also receives special mandates, which are mainly requests for expertises from national and international institutions. It can also act in particular circumstances such as identifying victims of mass disasters of natural origin (landslides, tsunamis, etc.) or human origin (transport accidents, victims of conflicts, etc.).
Mission
- You ensure the transcription and follow-up of reports and letters intended, among others, for judicial authorities, for the various CURML units, guaranteeing an adequate level of accuracy and proofreading
- You manage internal/external phone calls and direct various requests
- You ensure, one day per week, the physical reception and orientation of visitors at the desk
- You are also called upon to perform specific tasks related to the unit, according to your knowledge and skills.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification and/or a medical secretary diploma
- You demonstrate perfect mastery of French and excellent writing skills and also have good oral knowledge of Italian or German
- Knowledge of medical terminology would be an asset
- You master standard computer tools
- Your great discretion, sense of confidentiality (judicial investigations and sensitive matters), as well as your resistance to stress, are essential assets completing your profile.
