About the job

The city police, with its over 250 employees, is committed to a safe and trustworthy Winterthur. To complement our team in the operations center, we are looking for a motivated police officer starting 01.05.2026 or by agreement. Your Tasks

Receiving and processing emergency calls, reports, and alarms

Dispatching, accompanying, and supporting the emergency forces, including constant assessment of the situation

Conducting situation assessments

Initiating immediate measures and documenting events

Leadership support during major events and special operations

Your Profile

Completed police training (federal diploma/certificate)

IT user knowledge of police-specific applications

Ability to work focused and carefully even under high time and psychological pressure, as well as maintaining an overview of several simultaneously ongoing, also complex cases and issues

Very good communication skills with a high degree of empathy, frustration tolerance, and teamwork ability

Willingness to work on weekends and nights as well as to perform special operations
