The restaurant upperdeck in the Airport Shopping area has 210 seats and is a mix of grill and international specialties. It offers a mix of served gastronomy with an open kitchen and a bar/lounge area, right in the international environment of Zurich Airport.
To strengthen our team in our upperdeck in the Airport Shopping at Zurich Airport, we are looking for a creative and passionate head chef who is responsible with love and dedication for the quality and innovation of our dishes.
Your tasks:
- Kitchen management: Responsibility for the smooth operation of the kitchen, coordination and leadership of the kitchen team.
- Menu development: Development of creative, seasonal, and high-quality menus in cooperation with the F&B team.
- Food preparation: Ensuring quality standards in the preparation of dishes
- Purchasing and inventory control: Responsibility for ordering, storage, and control of food
- Cost control: Monitoring the kitchen budget, cost control, and optimization of work processes to increase efficiency
- Training and development: Training, coaching, and continuous development of kitchen staff.
- Responsibility for compliance with safety & hygiene regulations: Ensuring compliance with all hygiene standards and regulations, as well as adherence to KOPAS regulations
Your profile:
- You have completed training as a cook and have initial experience as a head chef
- Guests are your focus: You work service-oriented, have an eye for detail, and ensure smooth operations with your structured, organized, and independent working style
- You have good German skills in spoken and written form (any additional language is a plus).
- You are flexible and willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
