As Head of Project Management, you take overall responsibility for the project and program management of Axpo Systems AG. In this key role, you shape the direction of our project portfolio, lead a powerful team, and ensure that demanding projects and programs are successfully implemented in terms of quality, cost, time, and risks. At the same time, you also take on the management of selected projects yourself and apply your expertise directly in practice.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership and further development of the Project Management area
- Overall responsibility for the project portfolio including prioritization, resource management, and budget control
- Leadership and coaching of the project management team, ensuring competence development and best practices
- Development and further development of standards, methods, and tools for efficient project and program management
- Responsible for contract and stakeholder management at the highest level
- Responsible for the core process "Realizing Projects" with the necessary tools and templates from project initiation to handover to operations.
- Ensuring compliance with norms, compliance, and security standards of Axpo Systems AG
- Management of complex, cross-departmental programs in the energy and telecommunications environment
- Taking over the management of selected projects as project manager with full end-to-end responsibility
Profile and Skills
- Completed university/technical college degree (electrical engineering, information technology, or comparable field)
- Advanced training in project management (e.g., IPMA B/C, PMP, Hermes, ITIL) and/or business administration
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in project and program management, ideally in a critical infrastructure or technology environment
- Experience in software/IT projects as well as in telecommunications or IT environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at various levels
- Analytical and conceptual strength combined with implementation orientation and innovative power
- Very good German skills, fluent in English, French is an advantage
