Together uniquely on the way
We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit objective. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood. We offer additional services to parents, teachers of public regular schools and special elementary schools, as well as to professionals. Our core competencies lie in the support and accompaniment of young people with visual impairments, blindness, multiple disabilities, or from the autism spectrum.

Tasks
This is what you can achieve with us:
Together with a motivated team consisting of educational specialists, you will intensively accompany a 17-year-old adolescent on the autism spectrum, with cognitive impairments as well as self- and externally injurious behavior, in his school day. You accompany the adolescent in a 1:1 setting and therefore do not work in a fixed class group. After the orientation period, you will also be responsible for some lessons in a class in the Vision Plus area in addition to the individual setting. In doing so, you support the class teacher in lessons and participate in discussions as well as school events and projects.
Requirements
What you bring with you:
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic personality with training in social pedagogy or as a care specialist. Ideally, you have already gained experience in dealing with people on the autism spectrum and with challenging behaviors. You are characterized by an independent and reliable way of working and are physically and mentally resilient. You enjoy contributing as part of a team. At the same time, you also like to work independently and sometimes on your own. You can approach the challenges related to accompanying the student with the necessary professionalism and calm.
We offer
What you can look forward to:
Our culture is characterized by appreciation and openness. In your activity, you take on a lot of responsibility and receive the corresponding scope for design. You work in a motivated and well-coordinated team. Our employment conditions, based on cantonal framework conditions, are attractive. Learn more about this on our website.
