Your Tasks
- You work in the upper level of the Appenzell school community (3rd cycle).
- You advise, accompany, and support students with personal, social, and family challenges.
- You advise and support teachers, school management, and other school participants with educational, social, family, and cultural issues that arise in the school operation.
- You support the school through professional advice, assessment, and accompaniment in possible child welfare endangerments.
- You support entire classes by designing class interventions and prevention projects and participate in school development.
- You are available to guardians for educational questions and involve the social environment and other specialist agencies as needed.
- You intervene in conflict and crisis situations.
Your Profile
- University degree in social work or social pedagogy with additional training in school social work (CAS)
- Professional experience in the field of school social work or in working with children and adolescents and troubled family systems
- Experience in psychosocial and solution-oriented counseling
- Personality with a pronounced ability for reflection and interconnected thinking
- Communicative and empathetic personality with high social competence, negotiation skills, and interdisciplinary, systemically solution- and goal-oriented working style
- High resilience, flexibility, independence, and self-organization
- Interest in personal and professional development
