Assistant psychologist at the general consultation of psychiatry for the elderly
The University Service of Psychiatry for the Elderly (SUPAA) is looking for an assistant psychologist for a mission of psychological and psychotherapeutic care within the general consultation of psychiatry for the elderly, at an activity rate between 80% - 90%.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
Directed by Professor Armin von Gunten, SUPAA is a specialized service whose mission is to ensure care, teaching, and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action.
Over its five decades of existence, SUPAA has diversified its structures and intervention methods, aiming to constantly improve its clinical services, teaching, research, and maintain optimal continuity of care. It has thus developed outpatient structures (General Consultation of Psychiatry for the Elderly), a consultation-liaison psychiatry service for the elderly at CHUV and in nursing homes, as well as a mobile team and hospital structures.
Mission
- You provide psychological and psychotherapeutic services to patients in elderly psychiatry. Your work consists of conducting psychotherapeutic care, "specialized counseling" interviews, psychopathological assessments, as well as the associated administrative work
- You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in psychology recognized in Switzerland
- You have good integration and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
- You have at least 2 years of experience as a psychologist
- You wish to obtain the title of federally recognized psychotherapist psychologist
