Innovative Environmental Services (IES) Ltd is a GLP-certified Contract Research Organization (CRO) with its headquarters in Witterswil, close to the city of Basel in Switzerland. We perform Environmental Fate, Metabolism, Ecotoxicological and Analytical Chemistry testing to support the development, registration and stewardship of agrochemicals, chemical and pharmaceuticals products.
Responsibilities:
- Study Director for studies on the impact of water treatment processes following European guidelines
- Structure elucidation of unknown transformation products formed in water treatment, environmental fate and metabolism studies
- Working in the lab to implement and optimize new study types
- Operation of high-resolution LC-MS systems
- Development of HPLC separations in complex matrices
- Evaluation of study results and reporting
- Communication with internal and external customers
- General administrative work and laboratory tasks under GLP
Your Profile:
- A PhD in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related subject
- Very good knowledge of organic chemistry
- Experience working with HPLC and LC-MS instruments, particularly high-resolution mass spectrometers, is advantageous
- Knowledge of non-target screening approaches for the analysis of environmental samples would be an advantage
- Solid understanding of chromatography method development
- Experience within the agrochemical, chemical or pharmaceutical industry, research institute or in a GLP-certified CRO is of advantage
- Well-organized, flexible in work assignment and work schedule
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. German and/or French are of advantage
