Trading Manager - Short-term Management 90-100% (M/F)
Active in Western Switzerland, we help our clients realize their projects by providing comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions, whether it is electricity and heat production and distribution, electrical installations, home automation, soft mobility, air conditioning, or water treatment. The Electrical Energy Division operates hydraulic and thermal production infrastructures, develops production facilities from renewable energies, and ensures electricity supply under the best conditions.
Mission:
- Lead the trading and IT development teams to ensure 24/7 coverage on electricity markets (from intraday to month ahead, CH/FR/DE).
- Define trading strategies to maximize P&L and optimize our consumption and production portfolios (hydro, solar, thermal).
- Drive the transition to automated trading and the design of decision support tools for short-term markets.
- Lead automation and predictive modeling (Machine Learning) projects to optimize portfolio management through the development of dedicated IT tools.
- Coordinate information flows between long-term trading, market analysis, dispatching, products, risk management, and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with financial risk limits and the resilience of IT infrastructures.
Profile:
- Higher education (HES/EPF/Uni)
- Proven experience in energy markets, as well as in optimizing production portfolios (hydro, PV, thermal) and consumption, including flexibility valuation (SDL, ID, ...)
- Proven experience in managing development and/or modeling projects, supported by automation practice.
- Ability to lead teams and cross-functional projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Real-time decision-making ability and strong stress resistance.
- Strategic mindset, leadership, excellent analytical skills, and negotiation talents.
- Excellent command of one national language (FR/DE) and excellent communication skills in the other as well as in English.
- Remote work possible up to 1 day/week.
