At FINMA, you analyze insurance companies and actively shape supervision with your decisions.
Main tasks
- Collaboration in supervisory activities over insurance companies, especially in cases of intensified supervision (TIS)
- Independent analysis of financial, risk, or governance information of supervised companies, partly with support from experts
- Assessment of measures to restore the proper condition of the supervised entities
- Participation in (on-site) inspections at supervised entities and follow-up on agreed measures
- Dialogue with representatives of the supervised entities (from specialists to members of the board of directors) and their audit firms
- Mutual support, knowledge transfer, and deputizing within the team
- Responsibility for or participation in working groups and projects
Profile
- University/college/university of applied sciences degree (mathematics, business/economics, law, or natural sciences)
- At least 4 – 7 years of professional experience at a primary insurer with insight into risk management, audit, or insurance technology, at an audit firm, or at a supervisory authority
- In-depth knowledge of financial and risk analysis as well as good market knowledge
- Quick comprehension, pronounced analytical skills, and a dose of persistence
- Empathetic, communicative personality with a convincing presence, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
- Affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration and strong team spirit
- Excellent language skills in German (C2), good French skills (B2), English skills are an advantage.
