As a Commis or In Room Dining / Pureaty Café Server, you will contribute to creating privileged moments of relaxation, whether in the comfort of the rooms or at the Pureaty Café by the pool.

Summary of Responsibilities:
General Duties:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Know the concept and offerings of the department (In Room Dining, amenities, and Pureaty Café)
- Be well acquainted with the menu offerings, their garnishes, content, preparation methods, and master sales techniques
- Inform customers as needed, do what is necessary to find information for clients
- Check the order before serving it to the client and ensure the service is as fast as possible
- Serve orders to clients in their rooms discreetly while providing perfect service
- Be responsible for customer satisfaction and well-being
- Ensure good communication between the IRD-Pureaty Café service and the kitchen
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
- Participate efficiently in cleaning tasks assigned
- Participate in an evaluation interview with your supervisor once a year or as needed
- Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and apply them
- Perfect your technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for demanding clients
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
Specific Duties for Commis
Reporting to the Room Dining / Pureaty Café Supervisor, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Be responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of your area in collaboration with your supervisor
- Assist servers in all their functions and lighten some of their work tasks
- Regularly restock consoles with cutlery, glasses, clean napkins, and various condiments that are part of the setup
- Take customer orders at the table (Pureaty Café) or by phone (IRD)
- Set up the Pureaty Café dining room and the In Room Dining office
- Ensure service at Pureaty Café in collaboration with the server
- Set tables according to establishment standards
- Serve dishes and drinks at the table at Pureaty Café according to standards
- Participate in smooth service flow and inform the server of received information
Specific Duties for Server:
Reporting to the In-Room Dining – Pureaty Café Supervisor, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Take customer orders by phone
- Implement all necessary actions to provide high-quality service, serve clients according to their expectations, and ensure their satisfaction
- Perform dynamic and quality service to satisfy clients
- Know how to use Silverware and check the bill before presenting it to clients
- Be responsible for the cleanliness and storage of floor carts
- Perform opening and closing tasks
- Handle the cash register and Silverware closing
- Master the Silverware tool and use it appropriately
- Actively participate in inventories in your department
- Communicate any potential problems to your supervisor
- Participate in an evaluation interview with your supervisor once a year or as needed
- Be responsible for the proper execution of assigned service tasks
Commis Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience in catering
- Experience in 4* and 5* hotels is an asset
- Good verbal knowledge of French and English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Recognized service diploma is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation, neat and conscientious
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Flexibility in working hours
Server Qualifications:
- 4 years or more of experience in the service field, including apprenticeship or other training
- Experience in 4* or 5* hospitality is an asset
- Verbal mastery of French and English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Previous experience with a point of sale system (POS system)
- Knowledge of the Silverware tool is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good presentation, neat and conscientious
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Flexibility in working hours
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
