Head of Purchasing (m/f/d)

• Purchasing/disposition of raw, auxiliary, and operating materials as well as semi-finished and finished products, capital goods, and services, taking into account demand, developments in the national and international procurement market, and cost/quality requirements
• Creation and further development of article structures with, if necessary, target quantity determination and their timely tendering as well as professional evaluation with price and condition negotiation combined with high competence in contract management
• Monitoring order processing with delivery date tracking, complaint handling, and checking the functionality of goods and services
• Systematic supplier selection, continuous market observation, and the permanent submission of supplier proposals to reduce costs and improve quality, considering the entire supply chain
• Preparation of the purchasing budget and responsibility for monitoring/compliance with the budget as well as timely coordination with the Directorate of Economics & Finance / Controlling
• Confidence in planning and leading projects
• Experience in waste management
• Ensuring general office organization with purchasing documentation, invoice control, and internal communication/information related to the functional area

• Several years of professional and leadership experience in purchasing in large-scale hotel operations are a prerequisite
• A successfully completed business administration degree in hospitality and/or appropriate further training in purchasing is required
• Personally, you are characterized by your independent, structured, and result-oriented way of working combined with the ability to reconcile operational requirements and economic goals
• Teamwork skills and excellent communication competence as well as a confident, poised, and professional appearance
• In addition to your negotiation-secure German skills, you are proficient in English, both spoken and written
• Familiar and confident use of MS Office programs as well as good knowledge of merchandise management programs
