Physiotherapist for the Musculoskeletal Department
To complete its team, the physiotherapy service of the Musculoskeletal Department is looking for a physiotherapist on a fixed-term contract, with an activity rate between 80% - 100%, from April 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Musculoskeletal Department (DAL) has as its central mission the medical or surgical management of osteoarticular pathologies; it welcomes patients suffering from diseases related to the skeleton, joints, muscles, and tendons.
The Physiotherapy Service of the DAL ensures the reception and clinical management of hospitalized and outpatient patients in the fields of orthopedic surgery, traumatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, the burn unit, septic surgery, as well as in the field of continuous care.

Mission
- You guarantee the identification, planning, execution, and evaluation of physiotherapy services in the preventive, curative, palliative, and educational fields for patients through mastery of clinical evaluation based on scientific evidence
- You actively participate in the organization of work, the smooth running, and continuity of the unit's activities through mastery of communication and coordination within the interprofessional team
- You develop and implement actions for disease and accident prevention, health maintenance and promotion, as well as functional rehabilitation and social reintegration through treatment and teaching approaches
- You ensure improvement processes for the efficiency of physiotherapy services based on scientific evidence, professional development, as well as its self-assessment and learning capacities.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or a title deemed equivalent by the Red Cross
- You master French (spoken and written)
- You have basic knowledge of office automation and IT (Windows environment)
- You master the computerized patient record and its documentation and prescription aspects
- You have knowledge of scientific English
- You establish a validated training/professionalization plan with the managers Personal involvement, public service ethics, contact with users, analytical and synthesis capacity, attentive and benevolent communication, spirit of mutual aid and collaboration, openness and flexibility, stress resistance, energy and tenacity
- You work irregular hours (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) and/or on-call shifts according to the service organization.
The salary class is between 8 and 9, depending on the candidate's profile.
