The Facility Management department of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) manages 71,000m² of usable space and 1400 rooms on the Toni-Areal campus as well as at the Gessnerallee and Ausstellungstrasse locations.

To strengthen our thirteen-member team, we are looking for an

Your tasks

• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance work (including disposals)
• Identifying and reporting malfunctions or defects in building technical systems
• Independently performing inspections and minor maintenance tasks
• Coordinating and accompanying external service providers during maintenance, inspection, and repair of building technical systems
• Regular checks of fire protection equipment
• Ensuring compliance with house rules and supporting during alarms, evacuations, and emergencies
• Willingness to be on call for emergency duty
• Setting up classrooms, conference rooms, and concert halls
• Supporting relocations (moves, assembly, and furnishing of furniture)
• Conducting opening and closing rounds

Your profile

You have a basic craft or technical education or possess good manual skills and a practical understanding of buildings and infrastructure. Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in a similar position; knowledge of building technical systems HLKS (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary) is an advantage. You are physically fit and used to working independently and reliably. Furthermore, you work solution-oriented, think structurally, and act proactively. You are characterized by a service-oriented working style and polite manners and communicate professionally with internal and external contacts. Good German language skills are required. In addition, you hold a valid category B driving license.
