About the job
The Waldhaus beider Basel opened in February 2023 and is located in the Birsfelder Hardwald on the outskirts of Basel, nestled in the midst of nature. It includes a boutique hotel with 20 rooms, a traditional restaurant with a large terrace, and a bistro with a unique view of the Rhine. The offer consists of gastronomic classics and dishes that are to be expected "in the forest" and "on the Rhine." The culinary offer is complemented by the self-produced soft drinks of the Wyniger Group: beer from the "Stadtmauer Brauer" brewery and various Rhine brand products. The contemporary traditional business focuses on regional and seasonal products.
The Waldhaus beider Basel is part of the owner-managed Wyniger Group, which operates several restaurants, bars, hotels as well as a brewery, roastery, a cleaning company, and a wine shop with its own spirits brands in the Basel region.
YOUR TASKS
Your tasks include the preparation and attractive presentation of our dishes according to high quality standards. You ensure freshness, correct portioning, as well as cleanliness and hygiene at your station, support storage and inventory control, and work closely with the kitchen team and other departments. With your commitment, you contribute significantly to a smooth operation and a first-class guest experience.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU
- Completed training as a cook EFZ or an equivalent qualification
- First professional experience, ideally as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable position
- Strong passion for cooking and enjoyment of high-quality products
- Team-oriented working style and clear communication
- Solid knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness, and quality standards
- High resilience and flexibility even in hectic situations
- Creativity and a good sense of detail in preparation and presentation
