The IT Application Management department operates the globally used product configurator (Solution Designer) for our Gilgen door and gate systems. In this exciting role, you automate our processes from sales to production. You maintain the system from process analysis, system parameterization to capturing logical commands and formulas.
Due to a vacancy, we look forward to reinforcement.
Your area of responsibility
- Implementing new and existing products in our configurator solution, including selection logic, bills of materials, offer texts, price logic, and 3D representation
- Collaboration with product management, R&D, sales, and operations to clarify orders
- Further development of the tool as well as assistance with adjustments, expanding already existing solutions
- Participation in the modernization of the project, including clarifications and implementation of new features
- Supporting testing and release of new software versions
- Handling support requests
Your profile
- Career changers from the industrial technical environment are welcome
- Interest in writing programming formulas
- You understand technical and operational contexts and have experience dealing with technical documents and internal processes
- Enjoy developing yourself further, contributing, and working in a team
- Prior knowledge in software development is an advantage (programming skills, XML, Git)
- Very good oral and written German skills, ideally English or French
- Good abstract thinking ability, enjoyment of complex and interdisciplinary tasks, independent and structured working style
