Head Nurse of the Nephrology Care Unit - job sharing
To complete our team, we are looking for a Head Nurse of the Care Unit (ICUS) in job sharing for the Nephrology Department, at a 50% activity rate, starting December 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The Nephrology Department cares for patients suffering from kidney disease or arterial hypertension.
It performs more than 12,000 chronic and acute hemodialysis sessions per year and conducts over 6,500 specialized outpatient consultations.
Care is provided through a high-quality interdisciplinary approach, both inpatient and outpatient.
Mission
- You ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of nursing care
- You lead the care team in a spirit of collaboration, rigor, and kindness
- You participate in the management of the department, in connection with your hierarchy and interdisciplinary managers
- You organize and supervise training, teaching, and research activities related to care
- You ensure the maintenance of functional links between your unit and the department management.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross)
- You have completed a proximity management training (min. 300 hours), or are willing to undertake it
- You have completed a CAS in care for people with renal failure, an asset
- You have confirmed clinical expertise in acute care
- You have proven experience in the nephrology sector (mandatory)
- You are comfortable with management and supervisory responsibilities
- You have recognized dynamism, initiative, and openness to change
- You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- You master institutional IT tools
- You have an excellent level of spoken and written French (minimum C1 level)
