About the job
Team and Responsibilities
Make the Brand tangible. Drive Retail Experience. Create Impact.
At BLACKROLL® we do not place products in retail – we create experiences around performance, regeneration, and sleep.
As Senior Trade Marketing Manager DACH, you are responsible for how our brand becomes visible, understandable, and tangible in retail. You translate brand and sales strategy into effective retail concepts, activate our key retail partners, and ensure that presence turns into real demand.
This role is clearly positioned at a senior level: with high personal responsibility, great creative freedom, and direct influence on brand perception and sell-out in the DACH region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand Activation & Visual Merchandising
You develop and manage high-quality POS, visual merchandising, and in-store experience concepts that make BLACKROLL products understandable, tangible, and sales-promoting. - Strategic Trade Marketing
You develop trade marketing concepts and campaigns so that they are internationally scalable or at least adaptable across markets – always in line with brand, sales goals, and retail reality. - Omnichannel & Phygital Concepts
You contribute ideas on how physical retail can be meaningfully connected with digital touchpoints (e.g., content, education, mobile, e-commerce) to create seamless phygital customer experiences. - Retail Performance & KPIs
You work with relevant KPIs beyond pure sales figures and develop these further together with sales colleagues and retail partners to make activation quality, engagement, and brand experience measurable. - Stakeholder & Interface Management
You are a senior sparring partner for sales, retail, brand, and product as well as a trusted partner for retail decision-makers. - Leadership & Teamwork
You work closely with colleagues in B2B/trade marketing and bring initial experience in leading or mentoring team members.
Your Profile
- You have at least 6 years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or brand activation – ideally in the sports, health, or lifestyle environment.
- You have solid expertise in brand activation, visual merchandising, and POS excellence.
- You have demonstrably worked successfully with retail partners and senior stakeholders.
- You think strategically and at the same time work hands-on and implementation-strong.
- You communicate confidently in German (native level) and English (fluent).
- You are willing to travel occasionally within the DACH region.
- You bring initial experience in the professional leadership or mentoring of team members.
What Awaits You With Us
We have created plenty of space for regeneration and recharging. Among other things, 6 weeks of vacation, home office regulations, and flexible working hours. Conscious phases of activation are a fixed part of our office, where we implement healthy working. We love our location, which offers us a wonderful view of the lake and the associated benefits. Our work in roles is characterized by transparency, clear responsibilities, and self-responsible action. Internal and external knowledge exchange is promoted and enables us permanent joint development. We have a lot of fun together. In addition, as an employer, we cover 70% of pension fund contributions and our employees enjoy product discounts internally as well as with external partners.
Ready to rethink retail?
If you share the vision of BLACKROLL® and want to work with us to take brand activation in retail to the next level, we look forward to your application.
You do not need a classic cover letter. More exciting for us are your concrete experiences and your impact.
Please answer the following questions briefly and concisely:
1. Brand Activation in Retail
Describe an example where you successfully activated a brand or a complex product in retail. What was your idea? How was it implemented at the POS? And how did you measure success?
2. Stakeholder Management in Retail
You work with different stakeholders on the customer side (e.g., purchasing, management, marketing, sales). How do you set priorities in such constellations, prepare decisions, and ensure that agreed activations are consistently implemented?
3. More Than Sales
Sales are crucial – but not everything. Which two to three additional KPIs would you use to make the quality of brand activation and customer experience in retail measurable – and why?
