Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Autism Spectrum Disorders & related Service (STSA and related) is a reference service in the canton of Vaud. Its missions focus on the care and support of minors and adults with ASD, network training, and clinical research. Composed of a tertiary center, regional structures, as well as cantonal and regional mobile teams, its activity is carried out in close partnership with professionals working in this field of expertise as well as user associations.
To complement this system, a crisis hospital unit dedicated to intellectual disability with a cantonal vocation, (UPCHM) with a capacity of 8 beds was established on the Cery site as of May 1, 2021. Innovative in its concept and medico-educational governance, and intended to be an international reference, this specialized unit is primarily intended for adult and minor patients/residents with autism without functional language or moderate to severe intellectual disability presenting decompensation or behavioral crisis, with or without psychiatric comorbidity.
It offers temporary accommodation for patients/residents presenting longstanding challenging behaviors significantly impacting their living environment.

- You guarantee the quality of interactions with internal and external partners
- You develop skills related to your activity by participating in continuing education, internal to the service, department, and/or institution.
Profile
- You hold a HES occupational therapist diploma (or equivalent title, as well as recognition from the Swiss Red Cross for staff qualified abroad, imperative)
- You are ready to take on the challenge of developing a pioneering and interdisciplinary unit dedicated to intellectual disability, bringing your creativity, dynamism, as well as organizational and relational skills
