As an IOL Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the sales of intraocular lenses (IOL) in the field of ophthalmic surgery within the defined sales territory. You will work independently in your area, identify customer potentials, build them up long-term, and continuously maintain them to achieve sales targets. You are an expert in regular interaction with medical professionals. The sales territory includes the region around Zurich and Lucerne.
A typical workday in this role includes:
- Sales of refractive intraocular lenses (IOL) and achieving sales and market share targets for focus products according to the bonus plan with selected key customers in the sales region
- Preparation, follow-up, and completion of sales activities according to internal guidelines, including needs analysis and project support
- Close collaboration with account managers and various departments (e.g., CAS, Technical Service, Pricing, Marketing)
- Regular analysis of key customers and maintenance of current data in Sales Force (SF1) for effective visit management
- Conducting training and further education at the customer site, expanding the customer base, and complying with compliance guidelines during demonstrations
WHAT YOU BRING TO ALCON:
- University degree or equivalent qualification, e.g., vocational training with further education in medical technology, eye surgery, or optometry, as well as experience in clinical field service
- 3+ years of professional or sales experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals in a surgical environment
- General understanding and interest in surgical techniques, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and optics
- Fluent German skills and good English skills; French and Italian are an advantage
- Experience with CRM applications and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to provide holistic solutions considering customer needs and budgets
- Strong cooperation and communication skills
- Independent territory management, customer-oriented thinking, flexibility, motivation, and a strong sense of dynamics
