Company Description
The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partnership institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A position of regional coordinator from 80% to 100% is open within the General Secretariat.
Job Description
- Promote an optimal match between the population's needs and sociocultural animation actions
- Facilitate the regional implementation of institutional consensus defined by all partners
- Ensure professional and territorial coherence of interventions respecting the institution's orientations
- Actively participate in ongoing reflections concerning urban development in the region
- Promote the development of a common culture and contribute to innovation for better living together
- Ensure the circulation of internal information necessary for services and institutional coherence, represent FASe with various partners involved in managing actions in the regions, assume responsibility for files concerning the entire institution and specific projects
- Coordinate existing systems in the region, promoting cooperation between internal and external partners, including associations, municipalities, FCLR
- Promote staff skills development, advocate intervention ethics, values of sociocultural animation and socio-educational action
- Assume responsibility for the staff of FASe teams in the concerned region, in shared responsibility with the personnel committees of the centers
- Support centers and TSHM teams, ensure staff follow-up processes
- Provide additional support to other regional coordinators in accomplishing certain tasks.
Qualifications
- Hold an academic bachelor or social work degree (HES) and certified continuing education in social institution management, team and project management
- Solid experience of at least 5 years in managing institutions, teams, and projects, preferably in the sociocultural and/or socio-educational field
- Excellent knowledge of the Geneva social system, overall vision, understanding of socio-political, inter-institutional, and institutional issues
- Excellent ability to understand issues, innate sense of social and human relations, skills in conducting interviews and negotiation, ability to unite and enjoy working with multiple partners, interpersonal skills and natural authority, dynamism and creativity
- Sense of organization, planning, and priorities ; ability to work independently
- Ease in taking a leadership role, decision-making skills, skills in supporting and assisting teams, ability to stimulate and support reflection, pedagogical skills
- Ease in writing and synthesis skills
- Ability to work in a project context requiring flexibility and constant adaptation, variable working hours.
