Job Description
As part of the Local Investment Advisory team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping investment strategies for our clients and prospects. Your mission is to collaborate closely with Private Banking Client Relationship Officers (CROs), to offer appropriate investment solutions, both discretionary and advisory. Together, you will forge stronger client relationships, unlock new opportunities, and elevate profitability—making a meaningful impact on both our clients’ financial journeys and the success of our business.
Main responsibilities
• Responsibilities include but will not be limited to: Working directly with clients and partnering with Client Relationship Officers, being accountable for assessing investment needs based on risk profile, developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy, and monitoring performance and appropriateness of the client’s overall investment portfolio.
• Create tailor made investment proposals across different markets with appropriate products and services, adjusting portfolios to client’s risk appetite, needs and market conditions
• Observe and analyze financial markets to monitor and develop client’s investment strategies
• Be proactive and in regular contact with clients and Client Relationship Officers to inform them of the markets and portfolio evolution as well as Bank’s investment ideas and opportunities.
• Actively contribute creative ideas and expertise to drive new business initiatives and enhance product offerings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Promote discretionary mandates to expand their reach and maximize client engagement.
• Strategically work to deepen client relationships and increase their share of wallet through personalized solutions and exceptional service.
• Comply with all internal and external regulations and procedures
• Engage in Bank-wide initiatives, offering valuable input and support to drive collective success.
• Take ownership of specific projects and administrative responsibilities, demonstrating reliability and a results-oriented mindset.
Skills and experience
• University degree in economics or finance, or comparable qualifications (CFA, AZEK etc)
• 3-5 years client-facing experience in investment advisory, relationship management or portfolio management; brokerage or institutional sales experience helpful
• Passion for financial markets
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments across all asset classes, ESG and Alternatives a plus
• Able to establish close and trusted relationships with CROs and clients
• Ability to build and maintain networks with internal stake holders, collaborate across teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, any additional language appreciated
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work under pressure
• Results oriented with ability to solve problems proactively and independently
• Sound judgement, keen sense of urgency and high level of professional and personal integrity
• Very good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office and Bloomberg
