Head of Department Supply Planning 100%The Office of Health is the hub of the Zurich healthcare system and a national pioneer in many topics. It ensures a high-quality and economically sustainable healthcare provision in the canton of Zurich, guarantees comprehensive medical treatment and care, and promotes the health of the Zurich population.
We are looking for a Head of Department Supply Planning, 100%, to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
You lead the Department of Supply Planning with two divisions and a total of 15 specialists. As head of department, you are a member of the management of the Office of Health. The Department of Supply Planning plans and controls healthcare provision in the canton and is responsible – not only at the cantonal but also at the national level – for pioneering projects such as hospital planning, the development of quality programs, or nursing home bed planning. It procures services according to needs, monitors their delivery, and promotes treatment quality. In a dynamic environment, you and your team ensure the provision and further development of a needs-based, high-quality, and economical healthcare system. You have a coordinating role at the interface with external stakeholders such as service providers, associations, insurers, and other cantons. Within the Office of Health, you maintain close contact with other departments. In addition, you represent the department, the office, or the directorate in various cantonal and national committees.
Your profile
You bring a proven track record in a leadership position as well as extensive experience in the Swiss healthcare system. You have a strong political sense, excellent communication skills, and confidently maintain networks with various stakeholders. You think analytically and in a networked way, work in a structured manner, and are characterized by a quick grasp and pronounced flexibility. In challenging situations, you act calmly and solution-oriented. You are familiar with leading larger, multidisciplinary projects and enjoy tackling new tasks as well as further developing existing ones. Ideally, a background in health economics, administrative experience, and/or further training in management or leadership rounds off your profile.
