The position is attached to the Operations Department . This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth running of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the sterilization service, biomedical service and equipment, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,300 professionals carry out their daily tasks with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
The catering service includes seven kitchens and eleven catering outlets (brasserie, cafeteria-restaurant, café, sandwich shop) serving about 9,000 meals per day. This service aims to offer quality services and pleasant, friendly moments to patients, employees, and customers, through attentive service that meets the criteria of a balanced and varied diet, complying with high standards of hygiene and flavor. The catering service also offers a catering service (banquets, aperitifs, etc.) on the institution's various sites. Throughout HUG, the catering service focuses on fresh products and local products labeled Genève Région Terre Avenir.
Job Description
Within the framework of the catering service's mission, and under the supervision of the restaurant manager, you ensure the smooth running of daily activities by coordinating, supervising, and ensuring their efficiency.
You are responsible for the proper management of the teams on site and within the various restaurants in your sector, while ensuring optimal anticipation and allocation of the human and material resources necessary for service delivery.
Your role also involves administrative management related to the activity, as well as monitoring the equipment and tools provided to ensure their proper use and functioning.
In close collaboration with other sector actors, you actively contribute to the organization of hospitality services, whether they take place inside or outside the establishment. Finally, you provide operational support as needed by taking over certain tasks from your collaborators.

Qualifications
Holder of a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in hospitality or catering, or an equivalent qualification, you have solid professional experience, including several years in team management.
Your background, marked by at least ten years in the hospitality and catering sector including two years in supervisory roles, has allowed you to acquire excellent mastery of the hospital catering environment as well as proven personnel management skills.
Comfortable with IT tools, you regularly use Microsoft Office suite software as well as institutional applications.
You are recognized for your organizational skills, your ability to work in a team, and your sense of responsibility.
Good presentation, combined with perfect mastery of French both spoken and written, allows you to communicate with tact, impartiality, and professionalism.
You also hold a driving license and are ready to commit to an activity with flexible hours spread over the entire week.
Additional Information
The positions are to be filled in a sector that includes the sites of Loëx, Jolimont, Trois-Chêne, Belle-Idée, and Bellerive, involving geographical flexibility as well as irregular hours, 7 days a week.
