Job Information
Start date: February 1, 2026
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable + 2 years, maximum 3 years
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Salary: CHF 83,180.- (increasing each year)
Your Activities
- 50% of the work rate will be dedicated to conducting personal research work (valorization of the thesis, publications, contributions to conferences, project development, etc.)
- 50% of the work rate will be dedicated to supporting teaching tasks, organizing and facilitating the scientific activities of the Gender Studies Center, including seminars, meetings, and conferences.

Your Profile
We wish to hire a person with the following profile:
- Preferred themes: LGBT+ studies, racial inequalities, migrations;
- PhD in social sciences or equivalent degree;
- Experience in teaching and academic research in the field of gender studies;
- Having developed a gender perspective in their work and publications and pursuing a research agenda in this field of study;
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of German would be an asset;
- Experience and interest in organizing and facilitating events and coordinating scientific collectives.
- Institutional and/or international mobility is an asset.

A certified assistant who obtained their doctorate at the University of Lausanne may be hired as a first assistant, provided there is an interruption including a one academic year stay at another university, regardless of the duration of their previous engagement (Implementation regulation of the law of July 6, 2004 on the University of Lausanne – article 63).
