About the job
Your team
Founded in 1805 and partner-owned to this day, the Pictet Group, through its wealth management arm, Pictet Wealth Management, offers a comprehensive and personalised service to wealthy individuals and families. Our long-term perspective shapes everything we do, from how we manage assets to how we support clients across generations.
Family governance is one of the most consequential and most human dimensions of private wealth. You will join the Family Advisory team within Wealth Solutions. This multidisciplinary team works alongside relationship managers to support client families on governance matters, helping them to define shared goals, design governance frameworks and establish the organisational foundations that enable generations to work together.
Your role
- Advising international, multigenerational UHNW families on family governance topics, often at pivotal moments such as a generational transition, a liquidity event or a shift in governance needs.
- Tailoring each solution to the family’s priorities and readiness. This will include anything from focused sparring sessions and targeted projects (e.g. family councils, investment committees and next-generation programmes) to comprehensive engagements including bespoke family charters and family office architecture.
- Partnering closely with relationship managers to identify governance needs, frame meaningful conversations and bridge the gap between technical structuring and investment topics, and the human, relational aspects of wealth.
- Working with the Wealth Solutions and Investment Solutions teams to design and deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions for clients.
- Travelling regularly to facilitate high-impact meetings and workshops worldwide.
- Designing compelling and insightful content on family governance for Pictet publications, events and thought leadership initiatives, as well as contributing to marketing materials that reflect the team’s depth of expertise.
- Continuously developing Pictet’s family advisory methodologies and tools to stay at the forefront of research, trends and best practices in the field.
- Contributing to cross-functional strategic initiatives within Pictet Wealth Management, particularly those linked to the evolving landscape of multigenerational wealth.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Law, Business, Psychology, Organisational Behaviour or an equivalent field: Additional training in coaching, mediation, facilitation, systems thinking or change management would be a significant asset.
- Proven, in-depth expertise in family governance, spanning family charters, family office architecture, and next-generation engagement and education, with over 10 years’ experience of working with clients in family governance consulting, family business advisory and private client advisory roles.
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities: you are able to synthesise complex, emotionally charged situations, into clear, actionable recommendations that resonate with different family members.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence: you build trust quickly and work with sensitivity and effectiveness across generations, cultures and personalities.
- Proven workshop design and facilitation skills, with the ability to foster engagement and alignment.
- Excellent command of English. Proficiency in French or other languages would be a significant advantage.
- Proactive, forward-looking mindset with a collaborative leadership style and openness to feedback.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed.
