Almost 180 students are taught at the Lauterbrunnental School from kindergarten or the base level up to the ninth grade at our three locations in Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, and Mürren. At all three locations, day schools and school social work complement the school offerings. In the preschool area, the municipality of Lauterbrunnen organizes playgroups and a daycare center.
Integrated support (IF) is part of the special education at Lauterbrunnen School alongside speech therapy and psychomotor skills. Furthermore, we include support in the area of German as a second language.
In the IF area, we emphasize resource-oriented and student-centered support: We focus on the interests and strengths of the students and closely involve them in the learning processes to support them successfully. The goal is to increasingly guide the students towards self-directed, intrinsically motivated learning, joyful potential development, and independence.
Important methodological cornerstones in this support are: social-emotional learning, the zone of proximal development of the child, neurobiological foundations of learning, as well as holistic support according to ICF.

Tasks
You teach, depending on need, at one or two of the locations Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, and Mürren.
• You accompany students with learning and/or behavioral difficulties (ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, social-emotional learning) in class or separately in small groups.
• You perceive the child holistically and respond to their needs.
• You adapt the learning material, in consultation with the class teacher, to the individual needs of the students (quantity, presentation, content, etc.) or prepare corresponding learning material yourself.
• You develop individual methods with the students in the areas of learning and behavioral strategies.
• You can reflect on your work with the students, adapt it to the current situation, and provide a professional report orally or in writing.
• You work closely with the IF professional management and the class teachers regarding diagnostics and support of the students.
• You conduct tests (Basic Math, SLRTII) with the students according to instructions.
• You participate in location meetings with the parents.
• You attend IF team meetings and special education meetings (each once per quarter, online or on-site).
Requirements
You have training as a school special needs educator or are willing to obtain this qualification at the PH.
• You enjoy working independently and in a team.
• You are open to addressing the needs of the students and bring your pedagogical interest and creativity into the support.
