To strengthen our team in the HR area, we are looking immediately, at the Basel headquarters location, for a motivated and committed Head of Payroll (m/f/d), 100%.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the development and implementation of the payroll strategy in line with HR and company goals.
- You ensure compliance with legal requirements, collective labor agreements, and internal guidelines.
- You are responsible for the continuous optimization and automation of payroll processes.
- You analyze trends and are responsible for deriving action recommendations; you support financial planning through reliable payroll data and forecasts.
- You ensure cost-effective and efficient payroll processing.
- You are responsible for timely monthly payroll runs for all employees.
- You coordinate and control all payroll-relevant changes and interfaces (HR systems, time tracking, absences, benefits, social insurances).
- You are responsible for year-end/beginning processes (AHV, BVG, withholding tax, salary certificates).
- You lead and develop a team of 2 payroll employees and 1 travel management employee.
Your profile
- You have completed a commercial basic education or equivalent training.
- You have further training in the payroll/social insurance area (e.g., social insurance specialist certificate, payroll clerk, payroll manager).
- You have several years of professional experience in payroll.
- You have very good knowledge of Swiss labor law and social insurance law as well as collective labor agreements.
- You bring solid leadership experience.
- You have very good IT skills with payroll and HR systems.
- You are characterized by pronounced analytical, entrepreneurial, strategic, and networked thinking.
- You speak fluent German and/or French; Italian and English are also an advantage.
