School Social Worker Upper Secondary Obfelden 65%Well prepared for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Canton of Zurich, branch office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional, and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure a low-threshold school social work service, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the upper secondary school in Obfelden, we are looking for a school social worker starting August 17, 2026, or by agreement.
You will advise and support children and adolescents, parents, and teachers in educational and social matters. In cases of crises and conflicts, you will conduct interventions in classes and groups. As far as possible, you will also carry out prevention and project work. You will collaborate with the school team and other specialist agencies. Additionally, you will take on the multi-year supervision of an employee in training.
For this role, we require a completed degree in social work at the university of applied sciences level as well as professional experience in school social work or with children and adolescents. You possess skills in counseling, prevention, crisis intervention, and project work, as well as an independent and interdisciplinary working style. Ideally, you have completed a specialist course in practical training.
We offer you a varied, interesting, and independent activity with an annual working time (compensation for school holidays through increased hours during the school term).
