Medical Assistant or ASSC for the CoLaus Study
The Department of Medicine at CHUV is looking for a 100% medical assistant or ASSC, on a one-year fixed-term contract, starting May 1, 2026, to join the CoLaus | PsyCoLaus study team.
👉 Participate in a unique cohort study worldwide, which has been monitoring the physical and mental health of the Lausanne population for over 20 years.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The CoLaus | PsyCoLaus study is a longitudinal cohort study launched in 2003 in Lausanne. It aims to better understand cardiovascular and psychological risk factors, as well as the links between physical and mental health.
It follows more than 6,700 participants, representing about 10% of the Lausanne population aged 35 to 75 at the time of inclusion.
With over 650 scientific publications, 40 health professionals involved, and thousands of measurements taken, CoLaus is a large-scale international research project in public health, cardiology, psychiatry, and genetics.
By joining the team, you directly contribute to research aimed at improving the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and mental disorders.
Mission
- You handle telephone contact and appointment scheduling with participants
- You welcome participants and perform clinical examinations and sampling according to the study protocol
- You carry out pre-analytical laboratory work
- You manage files and enter parameters into the research database
- You perform various administrative tasks related to study follow-up.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a medical assistant or ASSC
- You are proficient with standard computer tools
- You demonstrate rigor, precision, and organizational skills
- You enjoy contact with the public and teamwork
- You are flexible, especially regarding working hours (occasional work on Saturday mornings or evenings)
