familea is a socially committed association with over 120 years of tradition in the Basel area. We operate over 40 daycares and a day structure, children and youth homes, the Foster Care Center, and a women's counseling center. Children, families, equal opportunities, and integration are at the center of our work.As part of our new service agreement with Baselland, the Foster Care Center (ZPK) is looking to expand the team to coach foster care relationships in foster families
an engaged and innovative social pedagogical employee from December 1, 2025, or by arrangement, at 80-100%.
The core tasks at ZPK include the professional support of foster care relationships as well as the training and placement of foster families.
Main tasks:
- Coaching and counseling in foster care relationships through regular phone calls and home visits
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Case documentation
Depending on need, interest, and suitability:
- Training and suitability assessment of foster families
- Placement: Shaping the process from placement request through matching to admission
- Moderating foster parent groups
- Acquisition of new foster families
Requirements
- Completed studies in social work or social pedagogy FH/HF or equivalent studies
- Several years of professional experience in the context of out-of-home placement of children and adolescents
- Pedagogical expertise
- Experience in psychiatric or psychological settings or in adult education
- Willingness to work occasional shifts in the early evening
- Willingness to take on telephone on-call duties
- Administrative flair as well as networked thinking and acting
- Good oral and written expression in German
- Good knowledge in the use of MS Office programs
- Confident appearance, proactive and communicative
- Driver's license category B
- High degree of personal responsibility, self-management, and very good organizational skills
- Structural flexibility and proactive attitude towards change
