About the job
Commercial Assistant Public Prosecutors 50 - 100%The Zurich Public Prosecutor's Office, with over 500 employees, is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by adults throughout the canton of Zurich. To relieve the case handlers in all regions and to ensure a sustainable workload balance, the Relief Public Prosecutor's Office ESTA will be established as of April 1. It will integrate the already existing Department J with public prosecutors who have a floating function ("Joker"), and additionally, a department with assistant public prosecutors will be created to handle mass delinquency.
For this purpose, we are looking for nine commercial assistant public prosecutors as of May 1 or by agreement, limited until December 31, 2028.
Your tasks include:
- Independent handling of criminal investigations in various legal areas
- This includes independent resolution by penal order or dismissal, drafting indictments, and conducting interrogations
- Participation in the development of standard documents and processes
- Jointly building the new department by creating a collegial and performance-oriented team culture
Your profile:
- Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification, as well as experience as procedural assistance at a public prosecutor's office
- Good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law as well as quick comprehension to familiarize yourself with legal tasks
- Resilient personality with high independence and implementation orientation
- Team player qualities and the willingness to share and continuously expand your own knowledge · Good writing skills and flawless German
