Specialist System Operations at System Control (80-100%)
Participate in electricity supply in Switzerland
In this role, you work at the Aarau or Prilly control center and ensure the remote control of the Swiss transmission network.
After about six months of training including theoretical courses, shadowing, and simulator exercises, you will obtain certification and be able to ensure network security. During your shifts, you will prepare and execute maneuvers to guarantee the safety of the electrical network, people, and facilities. You will contribute to safety on construction sites and issue and revoke operating permits. You monitor the network status and coordinate real-time fault management. You are in constant contact with work supervisors, distribution network managers, and foreign network managers.
Outside your shift work, you follow a continuing education program and participate in the continuous improvement of processes and tools related to the operation of the electricity transmission network.

For this exciting position at the heart of the electrical network, we are looking for a person with a strong team spirit, communicative, conscientious, with great speed and learning ability. You are characterized by your decisiveness, natural authority, and strong sense of responsibility, and you are passionate about operating the transmission network. In addition, you have the following assets:
- University degree (specialized) in electrical engineering or a related field. Experience in energy supply, experience in operating electrical networks is a plus. You may also have a technical education and several years of experience in operating electrical networks.
- Strong willingness to learn and share new knowledge
- Good psychological stability and high resilience to stressful situations
- Good knowledge of French, German, and English. Willingness to improve your language skills if necessary.
- Availability for shift work and on-call service (24/7)

About us
The System Operations department is responsible for operating the Swiss high-voltage network. With nearly 80 employees, we ensure that Switzerland always has a sufficient amount of electricity and that the electrical system is stable, safe, and available at all times, from multi-year planning to real-time operation.
The System Control team mainly works in the control centers (SGC) of Prilly and Aarau. It consists of engineers and technicians aged 25 to 54. We are a highly motivated, very close-knit team with great personal responsibility and a solution-oriented approach.
