Lawyer 70 - 100%The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, controlling, and operational tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, social institutions, and the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities, and various private organizations. It also operates a facility for people with disabilities based in Rheinau.
For the legal and staff service of the office management, we are looking for a communicative and committed personality as a lawyer starting May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- You advise and support the office management and departments on legal matters
- You draft and edit decisions and statements in appeal and complaint cases
- You conduct inter-cantonal jurisdiction procedures according to ZUG and decide on intra-cantonal social assistance law competence conflicts
- You process parliamentary initiatives, consultations, and motions to the government council
- You participate in legislative procedures
Your skills and talents
- You have a completed master's degree in law
- You have at least two years of professional experience, preferably in public administration and/or at the court
- You are interested in (social) political contexts and topics
- You have analytical skills and recognize the essentials
- You have a flair for dealing with various stakeholders
- You communicate precisely and appropriately for the audience, both orally and in writing
- You enjoy working independently, goal- and result-oriented
