Assistant Psychologist in Neurorehabilitation
The Psychiatry Department of the CHUV is looking for an assistant psychologist for its neurorehabilitation unit, at a 60% activity rate as part of a new position creation, for a start date of March 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The CHUV Liaison Psychiatry Service provides care for adult patients of all ages suffering from somatic illness and presenting associated, consequent, or pre-existing psychological/psychiatric distress.
This position in Neurorehabilitation is based on two axes:
- Assessments and psychological support follow-up for patients with neurological disorders, through individual, couple, and family interviews
- Liaison work with the medical team, through transmissions and recommendations to the team.
Mission
- You ensure the initial evaluation and psychological follow-up of patients with neurological disorders
- You conduct psychotherapeutic follow-ups under supervision and document the care provided
- You provide psychiatric liaison activities with other specialties, particularly in neurorehabilitation
- You collaborate with the internal and external network (doctors, health professionals, relatives) and guide patients
- You participate in the activities of the Unit and the service, as well as meetings, projects, and conferences
- You continue your ongoing training and participate in clinical supervisions.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in psychology or an equivalent qualification
- You have a good knowledge of psychopathology
- You are currently undergoing training in a psychotherapeutic approach (minimum 2 to 3 years)
- You have clinical experience in a psychiatric setting (minimum 2 to 3 years)
- You have an interest or experience in liaison psychiatry and psychopathology
- You have the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with various partners
- You are motivated to pursue postgraduate training towards the FSP title.
