Technical Writer 80 – 100 % (m/f/d)
True to the vision "We drive innovation to improve people’s lives," the Hamilton companies have been delivering solutions for the healthcare industry since 1950. We are an innovative pioneer when it comes to ventilators, automated pipetting and storage of samples, as well as the development of process sensors.
Hamilton Medical is a leading manufacturer of intelligent ventilators. Whether in intensive care units, during rescue transports, or an examination in MRI – our solutions cover a wide range of patient groups, applications, and environments.
What you can achieve:
As a Technical Writer for our technical documentation, you ensure that our life-sustaining ventilators can be safely, efficiently, and compliantly commissioned, maintained, repaired, and tested worldwide using understandable service manuals.
Your documentation forms the basis for service training and enables international service technicians in the field to act correctly and according to our standards under real operational conditions.
In doing so, you increase the availability of life-essential therapy and contribute directly to patient safety and care.
These are your tasks:
Creation, further development, and maintenance of technical documentation such as manuals, service and support guides, as well as process descriptions
Ensuring document creation according to internal guidelines, standards, as well as quality and process requirements
Research, preparation, review, and maintenance of project-related information from various sources
Close collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., product management, development, quality, sales & marketing) to coordinate documentation requirements
Regular reporting on project and content status as well as active participation in project teams
What you bring with you:
Enjoyment in structured collaboration and solving complex issues related to documentation creation with different stakeholders in a small team. (Structured, reliable, and team-oriented personality with pronounced problem-solving skills)
Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form as well as the ability to prepare complex technical content appropriately for the target audience in text and graphics
Confident handling of graphic and documentation tools or systems (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, FrameMaker, MS Office; knowledge of SCHEMA ST4 or DMS/QMS is an advantage)
Willingness for international collaboration and occasional business trips (up to approx. 20%)
Completed studies (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in natural sciences, engineering, medical technology, or training in a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in creating technical documentation for medical devices (e.g., service manuals, instructions for use), ideally in a regulated environment according to IEC / ISO (e.g., IEC/IEEE 82079-1)
