The trainee program allows you to dive into three different departments and build your know-how. Take on responsibility in new projects every six months and bring innovative solution proposals.
The optimal start for your professional future! 💯 The traineeship starts on April 1, 2026, and is limited to 18 months with the option of permanent employment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- During the traineeship, you actively contribute to daily business and take responsibility in ongoing projects from day one.
- You work on operational and strategic topics.
- Your first assignment is at Group Applications, where you:
- connect source systems to the central data platform,
- develop and optimize ETL processes,
- create and visualize dashboards in PowerBI,
- support data quality and data integration projects.
- You can freely choose the second and third assignments within Axpo Group (including our subsidiary CKW) according to your preferences.
Profile & Requirements
- Completed master's degree 🎓 in Data Engineering / Analytics / Computer Science / Business Informatics (degree obtained within the last two years)
- Basics in data modeling and databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Basic knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Talend, Informatica)
- First experience with PowerBI or comparable BI tools
- Good programming skills (Python, SQL)
- Good analytical and structured thinking
- Curiosity and team spirit to jointly find new solutions for the energy transition and technological developments
- Fluent in German and English, Spanish is a plus
