Clinical Research Nurse in Rheumatology
As part of a European project aimed at optimizing the use of imaging biomarkers for the benefit of patients with arthritis, and to strengthen our passionate and dedicated team, we are looking for a Clinical Research Nurse.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) is one of the 13 clinical and medical-technical departments of CHUV. It includes three services in the medical-care and academic sense: the orthopedics and traumatology, rheumatology, and plastic and reconstructive hand surgery services, as well as a division of physical medicine and rehabilitation, a physiotherapy service, and a chiropractic unit. It also includes specialized centers such as the sports medicine center, the hand center, the burn center and its regenerative therapy unit, as well as the foot center and the bone diseases center.
The rheumatology service treats locomotor system pathologies, i.e., diseases affecting the joints, spine, and bones. It specializes in the treatment of degenerative joint diseases, inflammations, and osteoporosis. Bone-related pathologies are managed by our Bone Diseases Center (CMO).
Mission
- You ensure patient follow-up, as well as the organization and conduct of visits according to the protocol, including performing authorized nursing acts
- You provide assistance and support in clinical studies, including organizing and coordinating study-related processes. You collect and enter data (eCRF), manage source documentation, and prepare audits/monitorings
- You handle, transport, store, and analyze blood samples
- You meticulously document samples and study results
- You process and update study databases
- You ensure maintenance, operational control, and upkeep of the devices used (ultrasound robot)
- You collaborate closely with doctors, patients, and study participants
- You work in a modern and dynamic environment, located in the heart of Lausanne, within an international collaboration framework.
Profile
- You have a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title, as well as recognition from the Red Cross for staff qualified abroad, mandatory)
- You have experience or training in clinical research
- You have good knowledge and certification of GCP, as well as a good command of medical device regulations and materiovigilance
- You demonstrate rigor, organization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- You adopt an organized, meticulous, reliable, and structured working method
- You are flexible
- You are capable of working autonomously while being an effective team member
- You master French (English, German, or Danish would be an asset)
- Ideally, you have experience in rheumatology, which is an advantage
- You are committed to professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and continuous quality improvement of care.
