Transport & Customs Officer

G&F Châtelain, a branch of Chanel SARL, is Chanel's watchmaking and jewelry manufacture in Switzerland. Responsible for developing, manufacturing, and assembling the brand's watches and jewelry, our site brings together a wide variety of trades combining artisanal know-how and very high technology.

You will join the Logistics and Services teams. As a Transport & Customs Officer, your main mission is to ensure logistical support (transport and customs) for the internal services of the Watchmaking and Jewelry Division. You will report to the Customer Service, Transport and Customs Manager and functionally to the team coordinator.

YOUR IMPACT AT CHANEL

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Managing and coordinating transport requests for:
  • International markets
  • Flows with our suppliers
  • Transfers during international events (examples: press, marketing)
• Verifying export/import documents (proforma, invoices, packing list, etc.)
• Communicating customs instructions (PA/PP/AT regimes)
• Developing and managing freight forwarders
• Controlling customs tariffs for all types of products
• Supervising customs deadlines
• Following up on customs disputes, establishing associated action plans and monitoring them
• Controlling and validating transport-related invoices
• Participating in project management (examples: implementing a TMS, regulatory monitoring, deploying a new freight forwarder, etc.)
• Formalizing and updating processes related to the activity
• Supporting and assisting internal services on transport and customs matters

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

You have a higher education degree (Master's level), ideally with a specialization in logistics or international trade and at least 3 years of experience in international trade.

You master English, the MS Office suite, and are comfortable with digital tools.

You are recognized for your customer-oriented services and solutions. You are proactive, a source of proposals, rigorous, persevering, methodical, with good priority management and a strong team spirit.

Versatility in the position and the ability to analyze and solve problems are prerequisites given the diversity of tasks encountered.
