In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Labor (AFA) contributes to strengthening the location of Zurich. The Competence Center for Labor bundles the labor market policy competencies in the AFA and takes on important strategic tasks, projects, and services on issues of labor market policy as well as the implementation of public employment services.
For the AFA, we are looking for an ICT responsibility as a central hub for all matters related to digitization and information technology. You represent the AFA to internal and external stakeholders such as the General Secretariat of the Department of Economic Affairs (GS VD), the Office for Informatics (AFI), or SECO. In doing so, you not only manage the ICT needs of the office but also actively shape the further development of the cantonal and national digitization strategy.
We will start with the first selection from July 14, 2025. The desired start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.

Your tasks:
- Responsibility for the implementation of the Digital Transformation strategy of the Department of Economic Affairs and the digitization strategy of the office in accordance with the directives of the department, the canton, and the federal government
- Leading and participating in strategic projects for the implementation and further development of digitization initiatives in the AFA
- Contact person for internal and external stakeholders on ICT issues
- Representation of the AFA in relevant cantonal and national committees
- Management and administration of the ICT application portfolio
- Promotion of internal digital transformation through communication, coordination, and support
Your profile:
- Degree in business administration or (business) informatics (HF/FH/Uni) with additional specialization in digital transformation (e.g., MAS or CAS)
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including 5 years in the field of ICT / digitization
- Solid knowledge of M365 as well as a good understanding of databases
- Interest in AI technologies and digital innovations
- Fluent in German, good knowledge of French desired, English is an advantage
- Communicative, flexible, and resilient personality with assertiveness
