Workplace: Sion
Your mission:
As part of a fixed-term 12-month contract, within the Civil Engineering & Geodesy Unit, and as a civil or hydraulic engineer, the hired person will contribute to the development and improvement of the unit's hydraulic activities. The main tasks include:
- Upgrading the management of the unit's hydraulic measurements by applying methodologies and tools developed in internal projects.
- Ensuring the execution of the mandate entrusted by the State of Valais in the field of hydraulic measurements.
Your responsibilities:
- Carry out the upgrade of systems and procedures related to the management of hydraulic measurements.
- Perform services associated with mandate CAF-006427, including the collection, processing, and validation of hydrometric data.
- Collaborate with the "Hydraulics and Monitoring" team to ensure harmonization and consistency of methods and tools used.
- Contribute to complementary activities (analyses, report writing, technical follow-up) to support the unit's performance and develop its professional skills.
Your skills:
- Degree as a HES or EPF engineer in civil engineering, or equivalent training.
- Strong interest in hydraulics, natural environment measurements, and field activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while managing certain tasks independently.
- Native German or French speaker, with very good knowledge of the other language.
