Your new role
As a professional guardian, you will manage child and adult protection mandates on behalf of the KESB Region St.Gallen. Through your work, you help people who rely on your support by representing their interests and assisting them, as necessary, to lead as self-determined a life as possible. Additionally, you represent children in legal matters, including paternity and maintenance arrangements, criminal proceedings, or inheritance issues. Furthermore, you provide internal advice to colleagues on legal questions. You will be competently supported in administrative tasks by our specialist service. At the Social Services, the person is at the center of action. Our approximately 150 employees provide a wide range of services in the areas of child and adult protection as well as social assistance for the benefit of the city population. The professional guardianship with its 60 employees is a department of the Social Services. It carries out guardianship measures on behalf of the Child and Adult Protection Authority Region St.Gallen. We maintain active professional exchanges with various offices inside and outside the city administration.
