About the job
The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. The Airport Police Control Department is responsible for carrying out passenger, hand luggage, staff, and visitor checks in the terminals and controls registered luggage, crews, passengers in private air traffic, as well as airport personnel at specific access points. Your area of responsibility
- Conducting passenger and luggage checks
- Checking luggage contents at the X-ray machine and carrying out passenger security checks
- Conducting personal access controls of crew members and airport employees
Your profile
- At the time of application, at least 18 and at most 59 years old, Swiss citizenship or C residence permit
- Languages: Perfect German skills, basic knowledge of English
- Health: Physical resilience, flawless hearing and color perception, good spatial thinking and visual discrimination ability
- High communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Impeccable reputation, professional appearance, physical resilience, flexibility, and discretion
- Willingness for fixed shift work and weekend assignments (time frame 04:05 to 24:00), especially to take on early shifts from 04:05 (no public transport connection)
- Willingness to complete aptitude tests during the application process and regular certifications during employment
- Attendance at an information evening is desired
