Head of Accounting

The Knecht Group is an expanding service group in the areas of commercial vehicles (Gebr. Knecht AG, Thomann Nutzfahrzeuge), travel and passenger transport (Knecht Reisen, Eurobus), goods transport (Welti-Furrer), healthcare and real estate. It employs over 2,500 employees in various subsidiaries.

We are looking to complement the finance team at group level from November 2025 or by arrangement with an ambitious personality as

Head of Accounting

• Management of finance and leadership of accounting for several real estate companies of the group, preparation of financial and managerial monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as budgets and reports
• Management of the accounting of three employee benefit foundations and implementation of asset management
• Responsible for the correct handling of VAT as well as direct taxes of the assigned clients
• Recording and processing of ongoing accounts payable as well as management of cash management and liquidity planning
• Support of line managers in special tasks and taking over projects, accompanying construction projects from the finance side
• Further development and optimization of processes and systems

• Several years of professional experience in accounting or finance
• Commercial basic training with vocational baccalaureate as well as further education in accounting or business administration (e.g. specialist in finance and accounting, business economist FH) or currently in such further education
• Ambitious personality with willingness to develop and readiness to take on more responsibility
• Good Excel skills, basic knowledge of Abacus as well as analytical thinking with an eye for detail and precise working method
