We are looking for a MSAT Bio Investigation Lab Lead who is eager to join our Global Biologics Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MSAT) team, based in Bulle, Switzerland.
About the role
As an MSAT Bio Investigation Lead, you are responsible for lab activities through design, execution, analysis and interpretation of scientific principles.
You are responsible for delivering and clearly presenting work on lab-based MSAT activities during internal department discussions and cross-functional meetings. You may be responsible for supervising a team of Scientists and Technicians in the context of specific projects or activities.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support process improvement activities in the lab.
- Deliver Process Transfer activities for late-stage and commercial biologics into both internal and external commercial scale facilities.
- Provide laboratory support for technology transfers, process validations, manufacturing operations, and necessary deviations/investigations acting as lead and/or SPOC for internal and external manufacturing.
- Provide Operational Support during routine manufacturing campaigns.
- Support Continuous Process Verification (CPV) activities.
- Participate in technical or organizational cross-functional projects, as well as specific manufacturing projects related to process knowledge and small-scale studies.
- Drive continuous improvement of laboratory documentation and practices.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of any scientific experimental plan, data, and report.
- Ensure that the appropriate standards of quality, housekeeping and HSE (safety) are being applied within the MSAT USP lab activities (procedures, HSE, respect of rules).

- Master’s degree in biotechnology.
- Relevant industry experience in bioprocessing DS.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise and hands-on laboratory experience.
- Good understanding of biopharma operations and cGMP.
- Experience in technology transfer and scale-up/scale-down of drug substance processes is a plus.
- Self-motivated, innovative mindset, initiative taker, can-do attitude, team player.
- High capacity to anticipate issues, identify priorities, and make decisions.
- Solution-oriented and sensitive to customer needs.
- Pragmatic and critical-minded.
- Proven project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external partners to ensure project delivery.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Very good technical writing skills.
- Languages: French and English both oral and written.
