The Civil Law Seminar belongs to the Department of Private Law and is the competence center of the University of Bern for Swiss and European private law. The staff deal with the law of obligations and civil law (OR, ZGB and ancillary legislation) and are responsible for teaching and research in this area.
Start date: February 1, 2026 or by arrangement
Tasks
- Independent management of the secretariat of the Civil Law Seminar and the associated institutes (possibly in cooperation with another person in the secretariat)
- Personnel and finances
- Organization of conferences
- Administration of courses and examinations
Requirements
- Commercial or equivalent training
- Team spirit, reliability, organizational talent
- Languages: German (native speaker or level C2), English and French skills are an advantage
