As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. The various services and offers are provided both centrally and decentrally at different locations in the Canton of Zurich.
The Regional Legal Service in Wetzikon is part of the office for the districts of Hinwil, Meilen, Pfäffikon, and Uster. The employees of the Regional Legal Service take on legal representation of children and adolescents and advise unmarried parents on paternity, maintenance, and parental custody.
Would you like to commit yourself to the welfare of children and adolescents? Then become part of our team. We are looking for a lawyer for the Regional Legal Service starting January 1, 2026, with a workload of 70%.
Your tasks:
- Handling child protection law mandates in the field of civil law (paternity and maintenance as well as contesting paternity), mainly in court
- Representation of injured children and adolescents in criminal proceedings
- Legal representation of children and adolescents in other conflicts of interest of their parents
- Legal advice to the employees of the regional child and youth welfare centers (kjz) and the office
You bring:
- A completed legal education, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Professional experience and court practice, ideally in family and criminal law
- Understanding of the problems of children, adolescents, and their families
- High social competence and resilience
- Ability to work in a team
- Independent, precise, and responsible work
