Teacher of General Culture, Physical Education and Work Environment
Plantahof | 50-100% | Landquart
The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the competence center for agricultural training and consulting in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, the Plantahof offers various continuing education cycles, professional development courses, and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consulting and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favor of Graubünden and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other circles dealing with agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations along with two farm shops. It also has a conference center with a boarding house, auditorium, and cafeteria.
For April 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a teacher of general culture, physical education, and work environment at 80-100% or two teachers at 40-50%.
Tasks
- School teaching of general culture and physical education, as well as work environment in basic training and advanced training cycles
- Collaboration and evaluation in the ICG qualification procedure and work environment
- Collaboration in the development of ICG subjects and work environment within the framework of the revision of basic agricultural training and advanced training
- Collaboration in all teaching areas
What we expect from you
- Agronomist (bachelor or master) with additional studies in teaching and consulting or ICG teacher (ICG teacher diploma) or willingness to obtain it. Preferably also qualified in the sports sector to teach this subject as an accessory
- Enthusiasm for working with apprentices and pleasure in teaching; ideally already has teaching experience
- Familiarity with the use of common computer applications and digital technologies
- A person capable of working in a team, reliable and open, willing to take responsibility in all school areas
- The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
