Teacher and Consultant for the Plant Production Department
Plantahof | 80-100% | Landquart
The Plantahof is a department within the Department of Economic Affairs and Social Affairs and the competence center for agricultural education and consulting in the canton of Graubünden. In addition to the agricultural vocational school, Plantahof offers various advanced courses, continuing education courses, and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consulting and the transfer of expertise for the benefit of the Bündner and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other groups involved in agricultural topics. For these purposes, it also operates its own experimental and estate farm at four different locations, including two farm shops. Finally, it has a conference center with a boarding school, lecture hall, and catering service.
To strengthen the education department, we are looking for a teacher and consultant for the plant production department starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Subject teaching in basic education as well as in advanced educational courses
- Specialist consulting in arable farming, soil, and general plant production
- Co-development of the arable farming/organic plant production specialization as part of the revision of agricultural basic education, authoring work on the new teaching material, organization of continuing education events in the field of arable farming, soil, and general plant production
- Participation in plant production projects
- Networking with cantonal and national fodder production committees and commissions
What we expect from you
- Agronomist (Bachelor or Master) or equivalent qualification, preferably with a focus on plant sciences and ecology
- Additional qualification as a teacher and consultant (Minor in Education and Consulting) is an advantage
- Team player, reliable, and positive personality with willingness to take responsibility
- The general working language is German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
